Like the other Nighthaunt model that I painted, the Spirit of Torment; painting this model made me think that painting with Contrast paints might just be the method that works best for me. You see, the Nighthaunt paints Hexwraith Flames and Nighthaunt Gloom are similar to the new Contrast Paints and I really liked using them; maybe even more important, is the fact I think I achieve decent tabletop quality paint jobs with them.

I experimented a bit more with washes on this model. I used it to blend the flames on his lantern from red to yellow and I think it turned out okay. I will admit that I was less happy with the yellow on the base of his cloak. I wanted the effect to be less stark, but even redoing it twice didn’t improve it. I would probably leave it off in the future.

That is all for this post. Before I start to ramble and return to my regularly scheduled chaotically disorganized ways, I will thank you for stopping by and giving my blog a read. Until the next one, Utterly Unfocused signing out.
